While the loud minority is surely annoying, this is a problem of their own making and devs shouldn't really be surprised.
With the increase of social media, streamers, tubers and the sort, devs were all over being more accessible to the fans, but now that's coming back to bite them in the ass LOL
well that's disappointing :(

It's a tactic, put the funding goal low, encourages people to back, and as such you easily reach your initial goal and far exceed it.
It may have had a $25K goal, but it has already made $90K after 4 days, 41 more days to go.
While the Oct. 2019 date seems impossible, it is most likely the Early Access or Beta launch, and from there they keep working.

They have made/released a ton of games over the past few years, and their parent company also owns Koch Media/Deep Silver.

agreed, especially an indie dev aiming for AAA titles. better to be cautiously optimistic for now :)
