Not trying to be a smart ar$$ , but it seems strange for them to do so after filling for two patents in the recent year. I believe it's cancelled for ps3 but for ps4 it might be another thing all together. I'm for it i'm a bit sick of parity, but it's just me being selfish :)
If it's cheaper it will sell better. Can it render at 1080p though sorry just kidding. My point is I believe the ps4 is selling more because it cost less at launch , it's more powerful and there are certain games people can't stay away from. Ms can't really change the power factor much. They should focus on games and price . imagine a $250 xbox one I know it's almost impossible now but will you consider buying one?
DDos attack saturates the target with to many external communication requests so that the normal users can't access it. it ovrloads because all the resources will be busy. This is in no way a hack where info gets stolen.
No point in filing a patent and cancelling. My money would be on cancelation of the ps3 version and a full rewrite/restart on the ps4. This could also be a ploy I have seen recently where source A says a game is cancelled or whatever and it gets a lot of hits thus it forces the developer to respond with info to stop speculation. I mean everybody said Last guardian was cancelled then it forced Sony to say it's not.

Pretty early should read who is winning the next gen surely and I believe the winner is ... the consumer. Some great games coming.

it said 100 fps would come down to 50 /50 in VR if im not mistaken. Still it's about the detail going with those fps. It takes twice the power because of the too screens in vr doing a double render. Much like split screen. in the past we had games running 60fps in oneplayer and 30fps 30 fps in multiplayer couch co-op splitscreen.
It would be the most real version out there, but you would be stuck with one car . Plus wrecking it won't make you feel good :)
