It took forever so I doubt it can be since it took so long. Even an AAA game in development hell that takes long will look and play pretty dated 90% of the time. The toolset and options with the lighting makes it better, but the gameplay was just meh.

This is an easy solution that most are complicating and i'm not talking about if it's worth the $35.
1. The developer can decide the pricing of a product. Since you are not the developer you cannot.
2. The consumer can decide if you want it or have the same value as the developer in their hearts and then either pay and support or leave it and move on.

It's like a game like a tlou remake starts out and every last attention whore writes an article about a random new remake to continue the trend. If a movie is bad don't watch it , if a car is too expensive don't buy it. Why can being a gamer create the atmosphere for a person to go on and on and on about things that he will probably buy anyway , wait for a sale or PSN. Yes that is a sad thing and 70 bucks are probably too much, but are we going to talk about it till we are 70 year...
I know i'm gonna get grilled for my answer to this. I see a lot of people complain that $70 is too much and I get it and agree, but using an excuse like you already know the story etc. Is a stupid arguement in a society full of entitlement. I mean if you don't like it don't buy it. If you already know the story... wait a few months and buy it cheap. Neil explicitly said the fact that there games sold millions helps them a studio with incredible talent to work on multiple projects...

I think a combination of paying too many royalties, panic and the dreadful start of the avengers game skrewedbthem over. Game development is expensive , but if you need to pay super royalties that's a bad start... then most average joes would be remembering the bad disappointing start of the GAAS Avengers and most won't be able to know the difference between the two...even sub continously most would be scared for life by GAAS avengers. Bugs and Bethesda go like Halo and masterchief. I sometimes enjoy the ones you are not gamebreaking as they are funny as heck, but losing progression is a no no. Will wait and see
