When Half Life 3 is out, i will promise you Valve will not be last gen. And still, if you see how many people still playing there games, calling them last gen would be a little insulting.
Valve games are meant for PC and should stay there, the console ports really proved that. All they want is some easy cash, the PC is still the only system they really care for.

They are PC developers, they stick to the PC which got anything than old hardware. The structure on the 360 is very similar to the PC, porting there games from PC to 360 is just way easier and faster than porting to the PS3.
