so far the game is proving pretty unforgiving, so the cheats will no doubt come in handy. the only one right now id even think about using, and im about 50% into the main storyline, is one for getting rid of wanted stars! the cops are so relentless and even with just a 2 star wanted its shockinly tricky to lose them! my only concern is that you cant unlock achievments with them on (quite rightly)

12 hours for the main quest. sound familiar? perhaps you've played oblivion? mass effect? 2 quite amazing free roaming games, similair to fable. of course, for those who wanted the complete experience, there were hours and hours to be had through side quests. my firs mass effect playthrough took me to around34 hours or so, my first oblivion game is still active to this day and has now hit 280. that main quest was finished a LONG time ago.

what system are you using bud? i can run it on my toshiba x205 with most settings high, no AA, at 1280, using dx10. i honestly cant imagine how much someone would spend to run this at full resm with 16 AA and all settings at high, and to have a playable frame rate. its a great game and scales down well, but its not one thats going to get me to rush out and spend hundreds when i have a system that can play bio, cod 4 ect at full res on high.
the 360's hardware problem is the biggest mistake, and is further compunded by the difficulty to make it right. whilst the ps3's price was shocking, and still is, they can reduce it at their will.
and yet i still love my 360 more then the others by far. i agree that it was a good idea to include the bluray, as it does help towards making it future prrof, atleast for the sony's 10 year plan.

i do. and i loved pro evo for years, but this year its forgotten its supposed to be a proper football sim and i might aswell be in an arcade somehwere. i like fifa. i feel a little ashamed, but i just dont care. its fun, its nice looking, its next gen. and its closer to football then anything ive ever played.
this year, fifa wins for me. but il always love pro evo for all its done, and maybe next year it'll pull me back in.
now theres negative reviews, by impartial reviewers, and then theres negative reviews, by people who know, even before playing the game, that they're going to slate it. thats why this review comes accross as one of those instances where one man just wants to be talked about.

people complain about games getting a 10 out of 10, but why have it as an option if every now and again a masterpeice came along and you werent allowed to give it a 10? its not perfect, nothing is, but is it a 9? no chance. God of War was universally a '9' game, (quite rightly may i add) and to suggest bioshock is only equal to it it ludicrous.
think of all the games that have gotten 8's and 9's in the past, from Edge ect, and then think of how much better, how much awesomer t...

its a precious waste of 500 meg. its basically a tweaked fifa 06 engine. no options for resolution so it looks like crap. sloppy controls, slow and sloppy passing, only a 5 minute half before you have to restart. its not good at all, lets hope the next gen versions are massively improved
i was just saying, it looked abit stupid, having a bunch of hard hat wearing miners (or whatever they may be) toting heavy weaponry getting shot in the face and not going down. for a game that looks to be using realistic physics and environments ect, i just found it abit frustrating, as someone who really wants this game to turn out well. i just struck me as a little lazy. but like i said, hopefully this is the early build and hasnt been fully polished and tweaked
sick of seeing the same bit. and the enemy animations when they get shot are poor and dont make sense, and apparently been shot in the face with an Ak47 DOESNT mean certain death, only falling to your knees for a second and then been ok.
camera looks like a pain occasionally, and im not convinced with the close quarter fighting. the jungle (this could just be me) looks very static, the foliage seems lifeless.
hopefully this is an early build, im guessing so see...
...and id still buy it, purely because i dont have anything else to use my ps3 for, other then a few blurays and re playing god of war and bully.
luckily for sony, at this time, with so little in the way of killer apps, it can afford the game to have some poor reviews, it'll still sell massively
maybe if any of these critics had half the talent cliff has, and could, in some f@cking parallel universe muster up half enough intelligence to make a game they were proud of, then they'd lay off the guy,
f@ck it, if i'd made gears, id be going door to door, preaching from the gears bible, wearing some cog armour, scaring the sh1t of of cats with a lancer water pistol.
in my opinion, compared to what id do to promote that much awesome, cliffy's a god damn recluse...
