Awesome work Daniel Bischoff, superb write up, and I seriously doubt anyone who can say they aren't massively looking forward to it now, fan of the previous games or not.
I put so much time into the first, I'd honestly pay for more of exactly the same, so any improvement is simply a bonus for me, graphical or otherwise.
It was probably the best value £40 I have ever spent.

That was it, the feeling from playing it. The music, the setting, the peacefulness juxtaposed with risk and the few enemies...it just combined into something so beautiful. For me, it was a piece of art as much as a gaming experience.
One of the few games that after completing, left me feel genuinely exhilarated.

Bottom line, when the 3 days are up, if there are a bunch of titles I knew I wanted but want more after, and if I can add another 5 or so games to my wish list that I didn't expect to look as good, then the entire thing is a success in my eyes.

SS for me is easily, easily the winner. So much more intense, and you have to drive a perfect race to win against the faster cars. Blur handles like crap, the graphics of the tracks in particular are bland, and the AI is cheap and seems intent on screwing you over.

Man oh man, I know that all the reviews have touched on it, but that rubber banding!!! You can drive a perfect race, but the moment you get hit on the 3rd lap, you'll be back in 6th with 5 or 6 seconds between you and first. Its brutal. Makes it tense i suppose, but it does really frustrate, especially the elite races, where your up against muuuuuuuuuuuuuch faster cars!!

Sadly, neither will get delivery until tomorrow morning (thursday) but i've had games on the tuesday before.
