They should put all that money on *bam* Waffles!...Tasty waffles!
I find it funny how people think this is for the 360 when it's for GFWL.
They have lacked TREMENDOUSLY in that area, and they really needed this overhaul. Things like Steam have been kicking their butts in this situation.
"I already stated that MS is about third party multi plat"
You said it yourself, in which lies the problem. How do we know most of these third parties are going to create more core games within said tech? These are the same third parties that are churning out shovelware. Hell Ubisoft is probably a prime example of it. They threw out more of that stuff on the Wii and DS than I could count. Nintendo allowed this transition, in comparison of coming from Gamecube. What&...
"you guys are delusional if you think MS will abandon the core, those who have supported them from the beginning"
Delusional? Look at how their OS went from XP to Vista for example.
"Companies are gonna make shovelware for both kinect and move, why do you think that good games will stop."
Look at the Wii. Good games are becoming a needle in a haystack now.
Just checking. :)
On a side note I find it funny we both get random disagrees.
I like how there were 3 random disagrees for no reason. I still think there should be a tracking method to tell who's giving out agrees/disagrees.
@Capdastaro
So you're calling yourself "casual" gaming then?
"Microsoft announced 5 hardcore games at TGS but everybody has decided to turn a blind eye so that they can get to say retarded things like this shadow flare character."
"Microsoft announced"
"announced"
There wasn't any gameplay videos, just announcements. You might as well say we should believe off on their words. Announcements to actual release can still go VERY sour.
Also on a side note, ...
I always shake my head when both media outlets and random people always get this misconception down.
When a studio puts down for a said platform. That means worked on multiconsole, which means you have experience in that area. That does not guarantee anything. Remember the situations of people finding code of some PC games with PS3/360 coding within it? When Atlus had a listing a while back for 3D Dot, it has the same type.
Am I saying it won't happen? No...
" Insomniac must be working the graphical ugly stick overtime."
Yea they have the stick sitting in a special locker in the office.
Atlus is a smaller company than NIS.
I'll believe that when I see it. =\
"What, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Oblivion, Fallout, GTA... are all on one disc and have more content than FFXIII you say?!
You lie!"
Lost Odyssey is on 4... >_>
Also yea it's legit to say the game suffered from multiplatform.
I can't believe how people failed to realize that SPLITTING YOUR RESOURCES gives you less time to use things to their full potential.
"That's why FFXIII is very similar to FFX. "
Except for the towns, the traveling, the optional summons to get, among other things.
So you're actually saying that you don't think people have the skill to beat this game with a small amount of deaths, is that it?
I mean ignore the fact that there's people out there that probably both played and beaten NG1&2 and God Hand on the hardest difficulties.
Why are you doubting that the game can be completed in a short time. Don't think that some cutscenes shave off a few HOURS. -_-
What is WRONG with you? The first Trine game was good...
Make you work around 3 different playstyles, and when the best times to use them.
@shadyiswin
Well yea, for some of those things, not all though.
The normal grunts don't see a lick of that bonus. :p
Plus that whole hours thing isn't a bonus to me, but a cheap way for them to seep money away from the workers. =\
@secksi-killer
He has a point though. Open world games re-use a lot of data. Look at the same numbers of npcs, cars, buildings, etc that you see when walking around.
Not only that, but you don't have the entire world loaded up on display at the same time. There's a filtering trick that one can use, by making it so that while the camera isn't faced towards and object, you turn the culling filtering so that it becomes "invisible".
"looks strange, thats usually a good thing"
This is an Atlus game. Of course it's usually a good thing. :p
