Its true. I haven't seen one PS3 ad anywhere in my area but I've seen several Xbox 360 ads on the local free newspaper(aka The metro).

It may be true. PS2's life span is supposed to be from 2000-2010 and ps3's life span is supposed to be from 2006-2016. If the new consoles are released in 2011-12 wouldn't that be doing the same thing sony did before? Just because the new console is out doesnt mean sony wont support it; they could stll be making 1st party games for the ps3.

Even if it was announced on both I doubt the full game will be accessible via download since Mm said they wanted to fill the BD. If it is available on PSN then it would probably be the create/share-side of the game only

The only winners here are us, the gamers. If for example sony didn't develop harcore games for us then the microsoft would certainly not be in a rush to release AAA games for us to buy. Why? theres no hurry; they can invest as little as they can into a hardcore game and force us into their monopoly because theres no competition.

If the slim is really coming out then I'll probably be picking it up next summer but as for now it looks like I'll be busy with WKC,killzone,LBP etc. for my ps3
Yeahhhhhh and i also heard a a ton of people say Nintendo failed the gamecube and won't be coming back into this market. I'd like to hear those people tell me the same thing again now.
Japan is but one country, europe is an entire continent and america is a country with 52 states. You can't expect to recieve more sales in hardware or software in japan than the rest of the world since the population is much lower than the US and europe.
