Iron Galaxy have actually been able to make an open world albeit much smaller size and lower textures running on Unreal Engine 3 on a handheld at a somewhat playable performance. That is in no way an easy feat to do. Even i had doubts this studio could make it on the vita but here we are today with vita owners actually enjoying the game on the go.

Considering that the console versions had some bad frame rates and the facts that they actually got BL2 working on a HANDHELD at somewhat performable rate AND using the unreal engine(which hasnt been that great with the vita), I think Iron Galaxy have done their best. Maybe a patch can up and stabilize the performance.
Its still pretty dang impressive none the less. Looking forward to playing it again on my vita :)

Agreed, now that I can look closely, the amount of details HM put into their maps and zombies are astonishing. For example, I was at the park level and I saw a couple of hobo zombies just hanging around a rubbish bin. Another would be robber zombie hiding behind an open truck full of things.
