I really feel Metal Gears as a title is one of.. if not the single most overated titles on any console.
No I can think of another.... it's first person shooter... and you know there about 30 to 40 fps out there right now...and this one doesn't really do anything different then just having a different story, different guns, different characters....
That game would be HALO...

but this is just another game.. similar to Devil May Cry, God of War, Heavonly sword, and very similar to Onimusha Warlards,

Yea I totally agree with you.... Dragons are cool in books and imagination.. but they do not translate well in movies, and games... I "WON'T" be running to get this when it comes out... I'll wait for some reviews....

I don't know about July...
I don't know about you people but I have a life that doesn't revolve around gaming... July means summer months here in NJ... when the weather is nice I am NOT playing games inside... I rather go Mountain biking, hiking, fishing, etc... I barely turn any console on during the summer
To release that game in July would kind of slip through the cracks.. when they can get more exposure say thanksgiving, xmas time frame...
I definately remember.... playing mario, kung fu, double dragon, the original zelda, bubble bobble ( <-- which is still in my top ten favorite games of all time)...
But your right.... 15 yrs ago this would have never been thought of... LOL how much have things changed
jeez an extra 20 gigs doesn't seem plausible for a different sku... kind of unnecessary... it just doesn't seem substantial enough....
wow that's a stupid rumurs... which I can guarantee is not tru... since most if not "ALL" games released for PS3 are on blu-ray discs... if they get rid of that... you'd be left with nothing...
If this game is a side scroller like Super Mario brother on the original NES.... man I'm excited....

Yea in "EVERY" article I've read concerning a MGS game.. it gives good scores/rating but always mentions that the story is crazy and not understandable....
I disagree I've always like the MGS story...
The ending of Snake-eater was one of the best endings "EVER" in my opionion... it was like watching a movie..
