premium consoles will be held back the same way pc's are considered held back, you can't ask for a better version of a game when you're in the minority, software sales take priority and the majority of gamers game on standard consoles, you can also not ask for games to be built from the ground up to fully take advantage of these premium consoles hardware because then we are talking about making games for a new platform instead of an existing one(nextgen)

Old school jrpg's were more about the story and the characters and how they developed through the story/game world, that's what made them interesting, also level grinding was mostly optional where in today's games it gets overused as padding to extend gameplay(content in games/s)
