I don't really run any applications that would require 4 cores, and the Athlon II X2 CPUs are incredibly cheap, which make them perfect for a budget PC.
I'm more interested in the Athlon II X2. I don't need much more power than that.
It better be a new model or a price drop, or else Sony won't see sales increase much, if at all.
I already got WiiSpeak with the Animal Crossing bundle, so I'll probably go with the Classic Controller Pro bundle, or just get the standalone game.
It's not selling because the unlocked version is over $500. Wait until a $180 Verizon version comes out.
I can live without Flash, as HTML5 will eventually take over, but what killed the iPad for me was the lack of multitasking.
If they can't be bothered to create a single town after this much development time, then I can't be bothered to buy their crap.
It's not suited for anything a typical computer would do, either.
I hope this means a bigger emphasis on story and the elimination of random battling. Those two things are the reason I stopped play Pokemon passed the G/S/C generation.
Would have looked somewhat real had it not been for the cartoon-ish-styled item map on the right.
Did I say the visuals had anything to do with the disk space? No.
Zelda Wii ought to be a very big change in terms of presentation. Not only is the Wii's processing power better than the Gamecube's, it doesn't suffer from the Gamecube's biggest problem: the incredibly small disk space. Now, take into account that Twilight Princess was designed with Gamecube limitations, and we still ended up with a visually impressive game, as well as an enormous overworld. Can you imagine how big a difference a Wii Zelda title will have in comparison?
Apple's "PSP Go", I presume?
That's sort of what I had in mind, but in this case, Natal would still just detect the player's body, and not really care about the controllers. The analog sticks would give the same control over movement that you'd expect from a game that utilizes dual-analogs. With Natal, moving your character was a prime concern, as you obviously couldn't just walk in real life, as you'd just walk into your TV, so this would rectify that problem.
Also, without buttons, developers would have to...
I still think Natal needs a controller of some kind to go along with the motion sensing. One idea I had in mind was a pair of wireless controls shaped kind of like the Wii's Nunchuk, each with an analog stick and trigger buttons. If you really think about it, I'm sure you can see why I think this could work wonders.
I still have some hopes for it. It IS a beta, after all. No real harm if it doesn't work, it just means I'll have to shell out a little more cash for a custom PC.
Yes, they do. They're a lazy method of adding replay value in games, and, like leaderboards, just give people an incentive to cheat.
*looks at the calendar to make sure it's not 2012*
Wow, 2011 is already getting some padding for gamers. Doesn't look like we'll be getting a drought for awhile.
Hurts campers, so I'm all for not being able to go prone.
