It's not about originality, but if you want to discuss originality, the only thing original about FFXIII was that it was the most linear JRPG that ever existed, which is a bad thing.

I played both FFXIII and FFXIII-2 and the first one was dreadful, so much that I am a trophy hunter and I stopped at 60%. FFXIII-2 was much better, I did enjoy it (100% trophies too). However, you can't even compare FFXIII-2 to old school FF's, the quality just isn't there.

You put it perfectly. The story is lacking as is, so I want a few hours worth of extra episodes from the DLC. But by judging by the prices of the other DLC content available, I'm not sure if we're gonna get what we're hoping for, for $6.

Lazy Lazy Lazy, this is what it all comes down to, lack of quality. Reason why they are making FFXIII-2? Laziness. All they had to do is add additional content to FF13 and call it a brand new game. sigh.

Sadly it's not about quality anymore. It's just about getting as many games out ASAP on w/e platform necessary to make as much money as possible, while ignoring their fanbase who made them successful in the first place. That is SE's motto now.
