While I personally enjoyed it, I think the journey to Shambhala was a lil more impressive than the Journey to the city of brass. Although when you got there the city of brass that vista when you finally got there was stunning.

I think I remember reading somewhere the dev team went to London and just went nuts on taking pictures of general materials; bricks, metal etc. So expect those textures and fine level of detail to be in the surroundings too! :)

I'm still looking forward to see what Ryse comes to be. I'm a fan of hack&slash and games set in past eras(assassin's creed, GOW etc). Need to see way more of it though and this would def be the game I'd get if I was buying a XB1 any time soon.
Kinda hope it does OK though as I'm not sure it's tailored for the right audience being on XB1 as the comments from that specific demographic seem to think purely cinematic games with set pieces are the devi...

I wouldn't bother quoting gaf on a site like this now, it'll only be instantly downplayed to the 'sonygaf' comment. When in reality it's one of the most tightly regulated gaming forums in regards to news from insiders, game devs and general people in the know that can or have proven their status/identity/employment to the moderators(whom some are vetted third party developers also) as to not get instantly banned from spreading FUD and false claims.

I think it's fair to say that graphics do matter to a certain degree at least for a selling point. For a new machine, especially a consecutive product(like going from 3 to 4), you are going to want it to do a lot more than the current machine you own. I wouldn't say LIFE LIKE graphics matter, surely PC is the only one that will get close to that, but at least be a big improvement over previous games at a bare minimum.
If is doesn't sell as expected or is seen to be trailing such&such number behind its competitors then it could be quite the possibility.

You clearly didn't see the gameplay at TGS as it showed much more than 'stab'.

yeah I know at least that much that there was no set team for SH games, but the different teams of people who spawned the first 3, maybe the 4th as a cry for help, really made some decent psychological survival horror games.
Downpour was at least creative in its own way, using a lot of water symbolism to create the nightmare world etc even though I thought it took too much imagery from the first film(the barbed wire etc). So far that's been the best 'western' SH g...
Not just the best ending, but the best atmosphere, awesome symbolism, best music, best monster design, hell Pyramid Head became a goddamn mascot for crying out loud. Such a shame the way the franchise and the survival horror genre has become in general these days, not to mention the HD remake disaster.
