I think this is the first time the most powerful console has been market leader too.
First time for everything but if you think about it Sony's message with its marketing have been laser focused and it's paid back in spades.
Was a great show all round. Nice to have another show to look forward to within the year. Especially towards the end of the year where TGS has long since passed and the next show to look forward to with any big hype would be E3, months and months away.
PS+ will always win this dance off. IF you don't own all 3 systems you're doing it wrong. Practically pays for itself over and over. Totting up the price of how much I've downloaded to how much I've spent, I've yet to over pay for a single month.

6-7 years or a gen I think is ample. 5 does seem a little too close and may make people wonder why the hell they bought the PS4 in the first place.
If they want it to be like the PS3 in longevity then the PS5 pretty much HAS to be at least backwards compatible in some way. No excuse now that there is no exotic CELL in the way of things.
People had no trouble crucifying Driveclub for the exact same woes, which were just to be fair, the game launched broke.
Difference is, Driveclub was a new IP from a B-Tier first party studio.
Halo MCC is not only a flagship IP, it's a collection of past flagship titles all bundled, that are most praised for their online multiplayer, by an A Tier first party studio.

That's a lot of jaded Xbone gamers. From what I've been reading about how botched the launch was you have to wonder how many have already gone back to the stores.

Xbone will continue to have minor spikes in interest through its generation. We saw it on Titanfall and we saw it a couple more times. Price cuts and decoupling of kinect helped but even then when everyone thought it would take over the PS4 in sales it didn't.
