Why? 3 products had a chance, specifically an equal chance to do well. 1 failed horribly, one is hanging in the balance and one is doing well.
The product that the consumers chose is the one that is exceeding. It was fair game, that's the point of competition. If the XB1 tanks, so be it. Would be the same with Sony except probably more of a childhood destroying event.
that last paragraph I totally agree with. Loving all that. I guess people just want to complain for the sake of it because it's something Sony exclusive.
No-one and I mean no-one was bashing on, let's say, Ryse for being a generic Hack'n'Slash with no real combat depth.
Never thought of that actually. Good shout.
Very much agree. It's just baffling how people can all of a sudden be turned off by gameplay they enjoyed for almost 8 years last gen. People expecting devs to recreate and reinvent genres are going to be pretty disappointed coming in this new gen I feel. It's going to be more of the same for the time being and I'm totally fine by it because I expect it.
I love the 'generic' gameplay comments and others implying gameplay is a whole gen behind, then when the new battlefield and cod get churned out every year there's no comments about how both of those franchise's gameplay hasn't changed one single bit lol. At the base they're still generic FPSs. From knowing it was going to be a TPS this kind of gameplay is what I expected...not sure what everyone else was hoping for? Hell most gamers probably don't even know what t...
So this is what it looks like from the other side of a bad console launch. Interesting.
lol damn, might have to steal that :P

One of of them will have the positive comment attached to it like "funny" or "well said" that'll be the one that got you the bubble bump.
Trying way too hard. lol.
They recently lost New Zealand too. That leaves Australia and Brazil I think, however Brazil is by default so bit of a hollow victory.
haha ouch!
March NPD is going to be storms and tidal waves. Especially when Titanfall doesn't sell many XB1 consoles.
360 owned it last gen. Hence why people assume it's a MS territory. UK and NA are the primary focus for MS and seem to be incapable of holding on to them this gen.
it's beyond upsetting :(.
The future of BioShock games won't have Levine at the helm is devastating, that's on the assumption 2K decides to even make a next gen one. 2KMarin did a real good job on BioShock 2 to be fair.
Definitely going to be keeping an eye on what ever he makes.
Just feels like an unnecessary closure and end of an era.
Next gen BioShock games look bleak now, and that's a damn shame, despite s...
Oh man, the future is extremely lense fare bright for PS4.
down bubbled for an amazingly fanboy driven 100% offtopic post lol.
While disappointing, yes, but it seems if you step back, anything is better than the XB1 version lol.
People are missing the point. It's not the resolution specifically it's the disparity.
If they both had multiplats running 720p, yeah I guess it would be bad but nothing on the scale of having one machine output a higher res than the other.
and what if they're eventually confirmed to be true...which, c'mon, quite likely given the pattern of XB1s underperformance.
Some of you guys are gonna be on suicide watch if Titanfall flops too.
what does the past matter now? Last gen people got a taste of disparity, this gen appears to be no different except reversed. It's more funny to see Xbox fanboys simply brushing it off, I'd be more annoyed that the console I had last was superior but now the new improved console now performs worse.
Can guarantee many PS fanboys were seriously considering XB1 before all this business happened. I know I was. but it just so happens MS screwed the pooch at their pinnacle ...
Console sales are always front loaded. New hardware is new hardware. Just think how more successful it would have been if it didn't mess up last year and didn't have a wealth of bad PR trucking behind it. Not to mention if it had similar or superior specs.
It's doing well for now but January NPD is definitely a warning sign. They're banking everything on Titanfall to turn things around.
