I just don't understand why anyone would want a gimped experience. It's time gamers get the performance they deserve... PC will be waiting.
After going on a PC binge, I tried to go back and play Dark Souls on PS3 and I was indeed getting a headache from the poor frame rate.
For the resolution of the screen shots, sure they are nice. But...
Nobody should accept 30 FPS next gen. Nobody.

I totally agree. Only reason this is news is because it is KNOWN that we will bitch and complain that the speed run isn't legit because it just flat out isn't... Thus creating some element of typical N4G drama and bringing in hits. All part of the plan.
Don't worry, out of nowhere you will just learn the mechanics. It seems extremely hard but the learning curve is actually quite easy.
The fact that glitches were used only make this speed run "cool", if that. It isn't a legit speedrun.

For the most part, every community is bad. Thing is, the roots of the FGC go back to the Arcade where things were much more raw. Face to face interaction, good or bad. But at the end of the day it doesn't even matter. Extremely silly article considering gaming communities are just sub communities of our failing human race. What do you really expect?
