Expected, nothing is never beyond M$! They deserve their "popularity".
There is a fair amount of available games for the initial PS4 entry without having to buy games at first but then also consider the simple fact that there are digital downloads which in Japan would be a pleasure to download due to their superior network systems.

I for one will be happy, whether Japan was overstocked or not as that means there will be ample stock soon for the rest of the world where stocks are still low. A win win situation for Sony and gamers still waiting for PS4 stock levels.
