The only similarity I saw was that you had a group of people following you. Other than that they are completely different games.
Dont get me wrong I havent played Pikman but I doubt they morph into a sword so you can slash giant robots or form a giant hand allowing you to grasp onto large objects. Overlord and Little Kings story seem closer to the concept of Pikmin than this game does

I think 9 was published by Nintendo in the US. Not 100% but since that is the only new DQ in 20 years to be on a Nintendo console it must be that one.
I think the author must have missed this game being on last gen console and the Wii this gen. Its already seen a revival since its days on the 2600.
I'd love to see a new one but the last game was nothing but a rehash of the game before it with a new name.

In a free to play model they make money off of selling items/gold to users. There just isnt a monthly charge to access the game. I think you arent sure its a business model because you dont understand how that model works. Not everyone buys stuff but enough to do make it worth it for developers.
I cant believe you really thought they dont make any money at all on free to play. Maybe you should look into it before judging it and commenting on it.
Another great example is COD.Complete garbage to most of N4G but 9 times out of 10 its listed as a must own upcoming game for Vita.

I have yet to play a pay to play MMO game that didnt offer tons of free content that was added as the game went on...
WoW being a perfect example. I got more free updates/upgrades from them over the years than a lot of companies put into expansions that they charge for.

While it did have more casual games than core it had games for both and that is a big reason why it sold the most.
