I've never had a problem with my PS3, none of the firmware updates have ever caused any troubles and I've got a launch 60 gig PS3. I've never had an issue with GTA IV, nor with MGS4.
people say it luck, I think it's because I made the right choice in consoles and the PS3 is made of reliable hardware.

I've spent 0 days waiting for my PS3 to come back from repair, why? Because it's never been to the shop for repair because my console WORKS.

would probably happen during the Christmas season when it would really get a lot of attention. The PS3 sales are constantly improving and always outselling the 3rd60. A price drop now wouldn't have much of an impact.
