It makes sense that open world games have to take a bit of a hit in the frames and resolution. I mentioned somewhere else that we should probably expect it to go like this:
Big open world games with lots of detail - 30fps sub 1080p
Linear, scripted and controlled games - 60fps 1080p.
"All this article and the others like it prove that there is an obvious agenda to try slander anyone that games as some sort of sadistic, misogynistic type of person."
So by your logic - as I play games - I'm calling myself a sadistic, misogynistic person.
Aaaaaaand now I have an existential crisis. Cheers.
@shineon, nah, too many games coming out for the dreamcast these days. Wanna go really old skool, maybe amiga. Sod it, let's redesign naughts and crosses on paper.
Assassins creed actually started off as a prince of persia spin off, google it!
better late than never, right?
I think it depends on the game. Huge open worlds at 30, linear, scrioted cinematic games at 60. Makes sense
To be fair, it' all done by one guy on a relatively poor computer.
Even then, I don't think those screens are representative of the final product, not by a long shot.
True that, just know this; if a new PGR was announced tomorrow, I'd wet my pants, change, wet again, invest in an adult nappy. Rinse and repeat.
Is that a bad thing? PGR 3 & 4 were my favourite racing games last gen, so I don't reckon it's all that to take influence from them.
It's a solid game and with a few tweaks here and there with regards to stability, I reckon it'll still be getting a good audience for a few years to come
Lets team up and create a new n64 game! The graphics will be crap but at least we wont have to push out patches!
Argh! I told myself I wouldn't read any reviews before sticking this one in the console. I've failed.
The store on the PS3 could do with some love though, no denying that. It's truly a chore to use
So you'd rather miss out on a game than play it as it releases? Would you care that much about a few lines of pixels here and there?
Shame really, think of what could have been done with the PS4's full potential behind it. We could have had an uncharted quality AC...
Go into it with selective amnesia regarding the latest tomb raider and you'll enjoy it ;)
First person walking around mode would be wicked cool, just hope they dont use the driving model for the legs...
You still cant deny that this price cut is a great deal, its a game and a console for less than £315, somethinf you would have great difficulty finding on the highstreet.
£349.99 actually.

mate, you need to give the first two a go, event though the first one is much different and farcry 2 is a little annoying at times, both are worth a play and you can get them pretty cheap on psn, xbox marketplace, amazon, ebay etc
