As a gamer I hope it's free of course but they need to make their money back and as long as there's still free online and Netflix I don't mind paying for the extra stuff. If they can do something like Netflix/gamefly and I pay a monthly fee for access to all previous ps1-3 games they'd win hands down.
I think the share feature will be part of the paid service.

Ok maybe that was the case in the US but how do you explain everywhere else were the Xbox released first and sold less? In order for the ps3 to have out sold the Xbox 360(which it has) when it released a year and a half later it would have needed to sell more year over year.

I don't think Nintendo fanboys should be happy about this and Sony fanboys shouldn't be mad. There nearly the same damn numbers grown up people. Although i personally believe the 3ds had an advantage because of the hype of the 3d. I know a few people that didn't even bother to try it out before buying and regretted it because they don't even use it anymore. Also they were the first to reach the market so they were a little better off, and we all remember the lack luster sales ...

it's obviously because they want people to buy new games instead of just playing they games they already have i don't mind but it's obvious. In fact it's better because the more games sell, the more hype it'll have, the more hype it has the more people will buy it, the more people buy it the more devs will want to work on it, making everyone's life that much better.
I personally believe sony wouldn't have released the move if not for the success of the wii but i wasn't arguing that. honestly Nintendo can work magic with the hardware they produce but because they prefer to develop cheaper hardware that they can only really succeed on, they lose a lot of third party support. For example MvC3, AC, Bioshock, COD,the whole MGS HD collection, little kings story, Mortal Kombat, Oddworld HD, Ninja Gaiden sigma, touch my katamari, Zone of the enders and so on and so on. The 3ds has been out for months it should be have a much better third party line up then the vita.
there's a video on youtoube from back in 2000 of sony using an eyetoy and a stick with a colored foam ball on top on the ps2 so i highly doubt Sony copied them.
It should be BC because i assume it'll be technologically closer to the ps3 then the ps3 was to the ps2. If Sony could find a way to have ps1,2,and 3 BC on the ps4 then it'd be a guarantee winner next gen.
In the end this is video games we're talking about not health care or war if you take a it seriously enough to want someone dead, maybe you should be shot.
