If Blu-Ray co-exists with Dvd, when HD-DVD does die out (if it actually does). Would Microsoft produce it's next next-gen Xbox with a Blu-Ray drive? regardless if Sony gets a cut of the profits?. Because Microsoft bought a portion of the company that does the rumble in controllers. So when Sony finally puts those controllers out, you know some royalties are going to Microsoft also!. Fanboyness aside, is it really bad to let the competition mingle together if in the end we the gamers get a bet...

For Sony this is great because their system utilizes this format and for Microsoft this is great because the next Xbox might just use a Blu-Ray drive now perhaps. But since 360 games still come on DVD's, Blu-Ray don't hurt the flow of games on it. HD-DVD just lacked the marketing and movie studios. But I've been enjoying some HD-DVD and Blu-Ray releases via download from Live because I never invested in the HD-DVD drive. So Im not effected by this and most thankfully neither is my most played...
Im sure I've heard of this some where! I own a Samsung HD TV myself and love it. Samsung products have become a personal fav. the past 2 years!

and I also can't see MS caring either, at least their system isn't relying on the success of the format as the games don't utilze this!. Good news for Sony fans though, as they NEED Blu-ray to win... because their system has it built in and requires the games to use the format. Just glad I never had to be paranoid of my systems success because of a HD format!
that gaming consoles have tried to combine so many features into themselves, that even the people using them are forgetting the sole reason for owning a GAME console!. I love my 360 and could careless about buying into a HD format. I've been just downloading films off of live in HD. So that way, Im not investing into any un-needed/un-wanted hardwear in or on my system. Being able to just download HD movies has kept me from investing in either format! and not to mention some movies on live are...

and I know Metal Gear was one of the biggest games on it. Hell, the system even had games on it that have become big franchises that are still around to this day, or have become gaming classics. I forget the name of the system, but I seen it in a EGM book that looked back on gaming history!
But if Microsoft could do that before, what makes it so impossible for them to do it again?

I just downloaded Christmas Vacation in HD off of Live. Without a HD drive, just a Hard Drive & a proven Online Service. Not only am I not spending $25+ for a HD-DVD or Blu-Ray movie. But Im getting the same exact fraction of the cost. It's nice to know Im getting HD content without having to give into a format with no ground to be seen as justified. Im sure Sony fans know what it's like to have this kind of choice!

What Sony gets on their disc's is no different than what Microsoft gets on their top of the line internet service!

It actually had a story that went well with the game, that also played a part towards the gameplay (example: it's about tommys indian heritage, and that plays into his spirit element in the game, etc.), also the weapons were cool, and the gravity thing was unique! so I digged it and I know plenty of other people ...

bugs in games has plagued systems since the dawn of time and it's not going anywhere for quite some time for any system. I liked even reading a piece about bugs in games in a past Game Informer, of how all this will carry over into the Next-Gen!

Not using a HD format hasn't hurt Microsoft in signing and bringing great game exclusives do out this year! so on the gaming front it's not hurting Microsoft at all. Games first people, games first!
