Yeah right.
I never believed in the PS3 having more graphical power till they delivered Killzone 2.
Now it's Microsoft who's just talking, they haven't delivered anything as graphically impressive as Killzone 2. I'm not saying graphics are everything, but it's true, Killzone 2 looks badass.
You make us all proud.
The main reason is because it's more affordable than the PS3. It's pretty obvious when XBOX 360 sales starting picking back up, when they got a price cut.
It's been getting a lot of 9.5s recently also, and the body of reviews is building, so I don't think an 8 is gonna lower the average dramatically. But again, I don't even know what scores make the metacritic and which don't.
have no problem with the controls. That's how the game is, I get use to it and it's a blast. But I'm not some Call of Duty shooter expert or anything.
They just can't take that Killzone 2 has the best graphics of any console game this generation. It hands Gears of War it's ass. It's not even that close.
The dust, the wind, the water, the lighting, everything just makes for jaw dropping atmosphere, makes me even wish they used this engine for other games like survival horror or RPG's.
I was pretty sure I knew what this gen was about graphically, but Killzone 2 surprised me, it's a step above everything else I've played.
It's kind of making a believer out of me, if this is what can be done on the PS3, then maybe the PS3 does have a few more successful years after ...

If what we've played this gen so far is Playstation 3, Killzone 2 feels like Playstation 3.5

at the end of second opinion it has 9, but is that the second opinion score or what? I don't know. I don't see an 8 anywhere.
And they gave it like 3/5 or something? I guess I'm totally confused. It must of been someone else.
It's a bad thing to be famous, because everything you do is magnified and you get criticized a lot.
That's the price you pay for being in the limelight. Like the student who stands up in front of the class to give a presentation. If you can't take it, sit down. You'll be safe, but then nobody will know you.
It's just a matter of choice really, Hype is not a bad thing at all. You gotta try to attack it and take it as a challenge.
I think Killzone 2 will sell really well, but in the United States where the XBOX 360 has like a 3-1 edge in install base, it's tough for a PS3 exclusive to really shine compared to XBOX 360 games. While Killzone 2 will still sell well, I'm sure there will be some 360 fans letting us know that it's not dominating.
I think the game will sell 2-3 million easy. It's basically something like the Gears of War of PS3. But you can't argue the fact, that it's not putting up Halo 3 or GTA IV like numbers where people are waiting in lines by the hundreds to get their copy at midnight. That just didn't happen, no need to lie about it.
Halo 3 boosted 360 sales for a month or so, as did Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3. Those games are as big as it gets. Killzone 2 is really more like a new IP, the origin...
The person who wrote this article reads n4g.
First they wrote,
"After nearly a half decade of hype Killzone 2 has failed to crack Walmart's Top 10 Best Selling PS3 Games."
Then people started saying, bullsh*t, it did crack the top 10.
Now they changed it to
"After nearly a half decade of hype Killzone 2 has failed to crack Walmart's Top 1 Best Selling PS3 Games"
yeah, whatever.
"After nearly a half decade of hype Killzone 2 has failed to crack Walmart's Top 10 Best Selling PS3 Games."
It did crack the top 10, it's # 2.
Saying it didn't crack the top 10 means there's atleast 10 other PS3 games selling better.
This story should be failed just by that first sentence, it's just inaccurate. Since when do they allow false news on N4G?? Nevermind...
Just keep falling and falling. I can't wait for Gamespot's review, they're just taking forever. I mean come on, the game is out in 3 days.
If Gamespot gives it a bad review, I might hold out on it.
it's actually probably my favorite game this gen, characters looked pretty real and it gave you choices to make. You could change the plot a little with each character and they responded differently depending on your choices. I had a blast with that, I would even save and would go back and redo the situation to see a different outcome. It felt like I was toying with real people.
I think it's overlooked that Mass Effect actually does what the crazy fool David Gage keeps talking ...
Just because anyone can post their opinion, doesn't mean it matters.
Anyway, most of us have played the game ourselves now and we can see how full of crap some of these reviews are.
