I doubt they'll make a sequel because the sales weren't good. The story is a little too formal and slow. It's like reading a novel they recommend at school, that's not what I play games for.
Think of it like this, the main character is Welkin Gunther, who is a Mr Perfect nature loving boy. Who shares philosophical advice throughout the game in a very rated G manner.
I can see why this game didn't get the attention of the modern gamer. It deserved more recognition...
I can't defend that, it's embarrassing that so much time has passed and that Sony still can't see that this is a price war.
Sony F*cken up majorly, when they launched at $600 which was $200 over their direct competitor who has all the same games.(With the exception of some unproven first party IP's) Everyone let them know about it and sales suffered so bad, they nearly died off the market. And years later, they've just allowed Microsoft to put them back in that same corner.

"Even a price drop, which is expected to happen before June 2009, is unlikely to propel sales ahead of last year for the first half of 2009."
Trust me, price drops change everything. Just look at last year, the first half belonged to PS3, the second half belonged to 360 because they got a big price cut and left the PS3 in a very bad position. It's a multi gen, and price tips the balance so much.
You can rip the PS3 all you want, for not getting a price drop...
I'm not happy at all. PS3 is one of the worst and most disappointing aspects of life right now. The constant bashing and bad news. Killzone 2 flopping.
Poor sales of the console. Me feeling for so long that they need a price cut, because XBOX 360 got one, and Sony just doesn't deliver.
PS3 is just a bag of hurt, and the main reason is price and Sony's continued effort to force a blu ray player on everyone, when all gamers want is game console. 2/3 years and it's...
Just wait till MGS4, just wait till Killzone 2, Now it's just wait till God of War III.
The bottom line is, it's a multi gen and with PS3's price, the choice for gamers is easy.
It will be just another year of great XBOX 360 sales, and another year PS3 lags behind.
This gen has been decided, get over it.
I think they've been working very hard. But, the price is killing them, and it's an unbeatable enemy. If, only they hadn't gone with blu ray. Blu ray is a Sony's biggest blunder in history, and it's bringing everything down including the Playstation brand.
PS3 exclusvies don't sell or push console sales. Killzone 2 providing the latest evidence.
All, Microsoft has to do, is nothing. It's a multi gen, and they have best price and they have PS3 in the bag. Enjoy, the victory.
about 90% of the people involved on N4G are fanboys. N4G is the ultimate battleground.
And most hardcore gamers are fanboys, and no they aren't dorks. It's just human nature, the same way everyone has their favorite movies, sports team, presidential candidate. If you're passionate about video games, you probably have your favorite console. There's history and tradition involved.
People need to stop looking down on fanboys, and just understand that it's part of vi...
It's probably not a good sign that the bioshock 2 trailer came out the PS3 version of bioshock, and that a Playstation magazine has an exclusive first look on some info.
The plan seems to be for a simultaneous release, unless Microsoft or Sony pays them off pretty big. But there just isn't any evidence to support that right now. So based on the info we have, you can't go with anything else.
As far as sequels to Halo Wars and Fable? No sh*t...
None of this matters. All, I know is the game didn't sell to expectations.
We don't owe VG chartz anything. They've been dead wrong before, and we have every reason to think VG chartz is bullcrap. Lets just wait for the official NPD to know US sales.
If Killzone 2 did sell only 1 million worldwide, that's horrible news for the PS3. I don't know what's up with these sites downplaying it, and making 1 million seem positive, because it's not. A lot more was expected from Killzone 2. But just the fact that no numbers have been released from Sony is not a...
But all indications seem to point to poor sales and buzz outside the internet. Things just don't look good for PS3, if games this good fail to generate the interest of gamers. It just seems gamers have moved on to XBOX 360.
Just the fact that it's even close. Because 360 has a larger install base.
That screen shot looks interesting but It could be anything really. I hope they show us more soon, or why mention anything at all?
I didn't bother to read this lame article, But I think Sony made it clear that PSN means both PS3 and PSP.
Microsoft does, they were new to the console market last gen, but have been steadily building a very solid foundation. Nobody would of predicted the Wii, but I think Microsoft has done all the things right with the XBOX brand, and it's now become the brand that hardcore gamers think of. In the United States, it's head and shoulders over the PS3, and in PAL regions it's growing and penetrating the market more and more everyday and getting close to ousting the Playstation brand there also.6178d ago 8 agree23 disagreeView comment
