It looked player controlled to me. Unless the game has you walking back and forth like a retard on purpose.
It looks like the way you control Sam in sam and max.
Edit: Just watched it again and I am 100 percent certain that they player is controlling him inside the house. There is a significant section where he wanders around aimlessly looking at stuff. He doesn't click on anything during that period.
Prince of persia does not belong on this list.

On the rails moves the character for you. He is clearly moving on his own in the video.

1. Same... Although, I just bought the MGS HD collection and will play that after I play the original on PS1.
