The overwhelming response from the PS3's "temporary" price drop has shown that people really DO want the system. A $399 PS3 to compete against is exactly what M$ DOESN'T need right now.
Also, speculation that a price reduced PS3 could be achieved by removing the Wi-Fi is ridiculous since Home is integral to Sony's big plans for us.

what stands out for me is not only how detailed the faces are but, how varied and drastically different they are.
As you watch the vid you begin to notice that no 2 characters share any resemblance to each other
but, i think Timeshift looks to be the most innovative fps.
Sony CANNOT afford to let this one go. Plain and simple.
They've lost too many exclusives already but, they know, just like we know, MGS4 will move millions of PS3s for them. If they have to keep just one exclusive, they know this is it.
They're gonna do EVERYTHING they have to do, no matter what, EVEN if it includes every Sony executive having to get down on their knees to give Kojima a sloppy, drooly deep throat.
I agree that the amount of game units sold MIGHT eventually be a deciding factor on wether or not MGS4 multiplat actually happens but, it would have to be an EXTREMELY low number. After watching the demo, I honestly don't see that happening.
Besides, it's a safe bet that MGS4 will sell AS MANY PS3s as GeOW sold 360s (or maybe even as many as Halo3 WILL sell 360s this fall).
MGS4 IS a system seller, so in a way the game is actually expanding it's own market.
