If this was an official release I'd be more than willing to pay for it, I miss the old beat em ups from the 90's
I remember growing up and going to an arcade there was at least 1 Street Fighter 2/CE/Turbo machine somewhere, then late 90's MSH vs SF or Marvel vs Capcom then also either Tekken 3 or Tekken Tag Tournament; now if there is an arcade still around its mostly rigged claw machines or some type of game no one wants to play anymore.

I've actually met people who refused to buy games that didn't have trophy support because they "HAVE" to get their score up.....
Personally (which means ME not everyone else) I believe trophies/achievements were integrated to make bad games playable - I mean think about it. Games like Killer Instinct, Chrono Trigger, Sonic 3, etc had 0 trophy/achievement support yet people still find time to play em; you meet the new gen and all they wanna do is boost their...
The anime side of it I can "sort of" see IF (and I say IF) its one of those animes that's japan-only release - I'm not gonna lie there's a lot I wish we got here in the US or at least some sort of region-free disc outside Bluray.
For gaming, that's a whole other argument

I've read it, and I'm one of those people who talked a lot about what you posted but the majority will only believe what they wanna hear instead of facts.
After all this garbage between fanboy wars and anon "Fighting for a greater cause" it led me to believe all this is not worth the headache - I guarantee a lot of legit gamers are probably gonna find another hobby or stick to offline gaming for a while because of the damage done.
