Primal Rage vs Brutal Paws of Fury
Capcom vs SNK 3 (Capcom version)
Samurai Showdown vs Battle Arena Toshinden
Namco vs Capcom
Data East vs Capcom
He does raise some very good valid points, while PSN was offline I did actually replay some of the older games that reminded me of what a good story is without all the flashy graphics and voice acting, as well as online. I was also able to finish certain games that otherwise I'd have put on hold for longer just because I was "asked" to join someones game to either play or hangout.

The way a friend of mine did it, he did the system link transfer using a cross over ethernet cable which took some time but it did work with taking all his data over to the new ps3.
With the cloud storage I can vouch 100% those saves work no matter where you go as long as your accounts are activated on the other PS3's. Speaking of which I better deactivate the other systems before its too late...
But yes if you do cloud storage they do work on another co...

I also remember it was SNES vs Genesis in the early and mid 90's; then in the late 90's PS1 and N64.
We call the 80's-early 2000 golden age of gaming; a time that will never appear again.
And yes I gamed starting in the mid 80's when I was able to stand
Soon we can put this behind us and continue on with the typical "my console is better than yours;" at this point I'd almost rather have those than the "Sony hate" garbage that's been around lately

All BS aside this is a big reason why I respect a lot of foreign countries over my own (US) because they took the time and effort to say "our bad" and do something about it.

Honestly if a game takes less than 8 hours on normal (and there's no replay value), I don't see the need to spend $60 for it because I remember older NES games taking way longer on first play through; there's a lot of companies knowing people will spend $60 for a 4-5 hour game with low replay value and tacked-on multiplayer.

To the polls though (the posted story) my question is "Do people actually know the ENTIRE story from the very beginning?" If not, honestly they shouldn't be allowed to vote.
I remember in 2007 all the 360 fanboys were here talkin about how PS3 was gonna go down, how its NEVER gonna sell out 360 EVER, and 4 years later they changed their accts, gotten quiet, etc.
Let those 21% go to Live; then after a few months they're gonna see live isn't all greener grass and eventually go to pc or go back to psn. I and a few others have yet to boot up our 360's because we didn't before it went down and don't plan on turning our system on just because a service is down.

I miss beat em ups, Fighters, RPG's (like Grandia and Xenogears), platformers, puzzle games (Tetris), and arcade games in general.
The big question should be "Why do people buy the same game with a different story and setting?" It's to the point I'm getting masively burned out on FPS games in general because anymore they're mostly the same thing.
When (not if) Live gets hit I'm gonna count the amount of articles based around that and see if they even measure half the magnitude of this PSN fiasco
