UE3 is optimised quite well for PS3 now. Airborne used UE3 anyway. The only news is that the multi is different from the single player. Sort of....tacked on. Errrr...i hope it works out lol
'If you're not judging the game, then why are you commenting in the first place about certain aspects of a game that we have absolutely no idea about?'
Ahh yes. Good logic. No one else here expresses any comments on games or aspects of games they havent yet played or seen in front of them.....errrr :P
'You obviously knew from the original post that it would stir commotion.'
Well no. But NOW i do now realise that as i wasnt gushing maniacally it is ...
'Nobody could honestly give a crap if you gush at the screenshots or not. I even complained on the Bungie.net forums about how they needed to upgrade certain aspects of the game. The fact that you make that presumption is evidence of how unreasonably belligerent you are.
I'm pretty sure the reason people are giving you disagrees, is because you're trying to pass off judgment of a game by screenshots that will be a year old by the time it releases.'
Seriously. Wind your n...
Im trolling? Why? How? Because i dont gush about the visuals of a game i simply havent seen in front of me, in gameplay, just screenshots as you well pointed out of the unfinished article???? Exactly my point, well proved. I am yet to be convinced bungie will deliver the promised upgrades, and am happily waiting until i see the finished thing. Up until that point, i still reserve my right to be sceptical. But of course having a different opinion to others which i express with explanation and ...
Its a bit of a double edged sword i feel. Console domination has ensured ports do not have steep requirements, they are built for the console first after all. On the other hand, they are restraining the advancement of games to match the now far advanced capabilities of modern PC hardware.
Still i think most people that bought an 8800GTX three years ago when it arrived and have yet to upgrade will not be complaining...
'See, you pick and chose what you wanted to see. If you continue reading on, you'll see that he ASKED Lehto this, and Lehto gave him a reasonable and satisfying answer. THe author clearly came away satisfied with what he'd seen. You try to defend yourself by saying, "Oh, look, I used a quote!" Whooppeedeedoo! I can too! See!'
I did read this. It doesnt make the former quote evaporate. The guy was simply underwhelmed. Lehto claiming that there is a whole load else goin...
It probably is. How so you ask? Because the gun is clearly firing, and hitting nothing but air nowhere close to targets. Sounds exactly like the sort of accuracy i would expect from natal lol :P
Sounds like a review i can agree with. Mass effect 2 is a fine game however its not something i would consider pushing the boundaries over the original game, merely refining the blueprint. I personally would not be hyping this game insofar as game of the year, while other, more original and ambitious offerings are incoming
Disappointing how the PC gamers are treated second rate still, so many months after the console release. I would be most interested to see if ubisoft manage any sort of DX11 implementation, however after the debacle that was Dx10.1 in assassins creed they might be avoiding that sort of controversy altogether
Quote: 'Despite all of this I cannot help but feel a bit underwhelmed. I was hoping for more, and I quickly jot down "graphics?" in my note pad'
1280 x 720 and some anti aliasing wouldn't go amiss....why is it when bungie talked about big visual upgrades i still dont really believe them. This article further reinforces my suspicions. I fully expect a whole bunch of disagrees from the usual suspects...despite quoting directly from the article :)
The chinese are odds on to become the biggest economy in the world by the second half of this century. Being british, the sight of manufacturing outsourcing is all to familiar and it signals the beginning of the end for a manufacturing powerhouse, and the transition to a more services oriented economy.
How sad are people that buy these games because sex sells. Shocking...Now, can anyone link to more shots? :P heh
Deus Ex 3??? Thief 4????:-( sigh
Two legendary franchises rooted in Pc history and yet not even a sniff. Ok so the consoles will probably ruin them both like xbox damaged deus ex 2 but hey. Worth a mention
Its about time something a little fresh came along. Needless to say it gets a little tiring when every other developer out there is just knocking out gears of war and call of duty clones...
Even if the game only manages reviews averaging around 8 then its a must buy simply because it does something different with quality execution
Like i said. About ten years too soon for most people
I really dont want to stand in front of my TV to play games nor wave things about endlessly with imprecision and lag. I seriously hope this is not the future of gaming. At least not for hardcore gamers...
BRING BACK IVY COSPLAY.
Frankly that is enough woman for any man (or woman if thats how you like it) :P
We will know the true damage when they announce subscription costs. Truth is you can build a PC to run games locally @ 1280 x 720 with maxed settings for less than 400 pounds. A 60 pound two year old 8800GT can manage that resolution without breaking sweat, even in crysis. The settings, image quality, framerate and obviously the latency on the budget system would be in another league even at the same resolution compared to the compressed, 30 frames, laggy, bandwidth eating onlive implementati...
Wow. This is awesome. Pump up the graphics and it looks better than the fully fledged console versions, in a browser window!!!!
Linux- with full RSX and memory access. Yes please!
