good point alot of people dont understand this...even with a 1080p set it can be crappy. The actual tv you buy has alot to do with visual quality.......people think just because its a hdtv that it will look good no matter what the brand and cost...but truth be told you get what you pay for.
Funny thing is i cant even tell its in 480i from trailers ive seen.
That kinda sucks, i thought it was a mandatory thing for every Wii game to be 480p especially a hardcore title.Although it looks awesome for not being 480p
you named off some good games but what about great games such as Mirrors Edge,Bioshock,Dead Space,PoP,Motorstorm 2:PR,etc.............all great games with very low sales.Even Fallout 3 isnt doing that great on ps3.
How do you explain those sales and the low software sales reported every month by NPD?
Fact is the numbers are low and no matter what the reason is doesnt dismiss the fact that it happens often unfortunately
holy crap everyone needs to watch this honestly best trailer so far.....by far.
I loved a bunch of fatalities including:
Jack up thrusts his chainsaw into the guys jaw and head and just lets it rip
Cutting the guy in half with those 2 swords
Using the wind bosses turbines to cut people in it.....so many kills in this trailer.
I also like how it shows the controls....like waggle things in the game in this trailer.
This just looks sick.
yea ive thought of that before...........reminds me of the cover for Metal Gear for Nes that was a total rip from Terminator, yet they got away with it
good point,
wii really is suited for such a genre but how they expand that genre is the real question
More then that will he be wearing this hot pink sweatsuit?
Edit: have a bubble for just being you.
well said
Come on though,i mean we really havent even seem anything yet really of this game.Yea its on rails but the devs in the interview talk about"expanding" the genre....i think they have some tricks up their sleeves about what a lightgun game should be.I think they will have multiple routes to beat the game kinda like Starfox 64.I dont know but the lightgun genre hasnt been changing or has evolved since it came out in arcades........i want to know how they will expand that.
Im with you on that.....i dont see why this game is getting so much flak........we should just wait and see whats going on with this...even with less control i still think, from the interview, that they are doing a good job of capturing the mood and atmosphere which is Dead Space.
Sounds like the original to me....which is not a bad thing.
I never understood why they left the feather out of every game since the first...that feather was gold for shortcuts.
Although i dont like the double karts because that means it would have to be item specific again which i dont like.I like having all weapons no matter who you are and if they didnt have it item specific then there would be no reason for 2 people on a kart.
"umm the blue shell gets the first place person, so if you hate the blue shell, you are use to being in first place.I myself think the balance of the blue shell was better in for example double dash,, but in the Wii version,, i could get hit by the blue shell 4 times in a match.. "
I have a golden wheel, 3 star ranking and have 9200(92 something i cant remember, although i could never get any better then that lol) in online vs when i stopped playing the game.Think about ...
I think this game will surprise alot of people in the western world.
I would have picked HotD over Virtua Cop too but hopefully this means Headstrong becomes kinda liek a second party for Sega and sticks to making Sega game seeing as hwo HotD Overkill is although i different approach as other hotd it was def. a great different approach.
Virtua Cop would be sick though
yea after you beat the directors mode...a dual wield icon appears next to the stage you select...its an icon just liek the "extra mutants" button. You click it for dual wield.
Aso the straffing part i hope they can put in......they are thinking of doing a 180 button which is really useful in multiplayer matches.I play alot of online pc fps like unreal and 180 keybinds are a really good thing to have.
Well IGN stats that they were in development when they were finishing the original title so i mean as a dev.....when you were making a Dead Space game that was TPS and while at the end of the development would i really want to go straight into another Dead Space TPS?
i would want to do something different; look at the Capcom guys with some working on all kinds of titles from Viewtiful Joe,Resident Evil,Okami, and now Madworld. Some devs just like diversity.
Same
Absolutely
HVS is doing alot of good things with their Quantum 3 engine that was stated as not being possible on Wii.
Besides this will be the FPS that all other FPS on the Wii are judged by,on top of that if people dont buy this title among a few others we may not see many more "hardcore" titles on the Wii in its life cycle.
I hope this sells along with Madworld and a few other titles so there is more unique games on Wii besides party games.
