When you create good games with ZERO lootbox then you deserve to have all successes in the world. Take note, western devs/pubs (namely, the tri-devils known as EA, Ubisoft, and Activision).
You are right. Just like Mario+Rabbids, I doubt they would just let third party dev do whatever they want with their IP.
However, this begs the question, what is Retro working on beside porting Donkey Kong to the Switch?

Maybe you still haven’t notice, but this game was funded by Nintendo. Therefore, just like any other Nintendo-funded games, it is an exclusive to Nintendo platform.

Maybe they can start fresh with a new story and maybe for once, set the game outside of the US.
Realistically, I would expect them to call it something along the line of the Switch Lite or the Switch Portable.

That is for people who pay for the game with their OWN money to decide. I personally had never played the past KH games, but I am still very excited for this one and will most likely buy it day one, on MY PS4. And I’m happy for those who can get to play it on other console as well. I can always watch videos from Youtube if I need to get to know the past stories more. There are tons of KH story recap video...

Why? Does people feel a sense of pride knowing that they can play games that other people can’t? First party games I understand, but this is third party game we are talking about. Also, leave the sale subject to the dev/pubs/shareholders to worry about. We gain nothing from that.

Doom and Skyrim are ports of old games that alot of people had already played. Why do you expect them to sell like newly released AAA games? Also, FIfa on the Switch is the worst version of the game. If anyone should get the blame it is EA for half-assed the port to make quick buck.
You also conveniently left out some other 3rd party games that sold pretty well on the Switch such as Rocket League and Stardew Valley.
No, it needs to have tons of other extra non-gaming features that would certainly almost never get used.
