It will fail sales wise they release it around that time.
Also, "epic fail" lost its novelty half a decade ago.
I could care less about the score but this, "It is not an amazing experience which will change your life but..."
Is that how we measure games? Because that bar doesn't exist.
That's some lulz right there.
Ahem, fine, it's not The End.
To answer the whiners who can't see where Metal Gear is overwrought, each of its lengthy scenes that purport to be emotionally poignant (like when Otacon is crying, those many, many times) come across as pure comedy (the little merit they contain is ironic and unintended).
Kojima's MGS4 is hysterical in how heavy handed it moves through drama, banging viewers (not players) over the head with its ambition to be powerfully affecting yet ex...
"Is there some verisimilitude in the emotionally-charged situations we find ourselves in when playing certain games, or are we simply forcing ourselves to feel something that isn't reality?"
The the two points you've raised that seemingly contend with each other aren't even contrary: they're two versions exact same thing. The question that's supposed to be the backbone of this article is limp as can be.
"Your personal involvement with the eventual succ...
Anything on this planet can make you feel something.
A well written but poorly conceived article. Mindless utterances and colourful words don't make an intellectual; only through deep thought and reflection can a great thinker be bred. And there isn't much of either here.
@Hellsvacancy
Since you can't even spell, I suggest you avoid contributing to a conversation about writing. Same goes for most of the idiots on this website.
Metal Gear is overwrought trash. The end.
The review reads like it was written by a tard, too. Not as retarded as IGN, so they can take solace in that.
Wasn't great but it certainly deserved better than that.
One of the worst demos ever didn't help either. Really, the singleplayer game isn't like that.
There are more wild and ambitious racers, sure, but it looks solid enough. You know, games can be good in numbers greater than one.
I don't get you people.
It's a concise length with pertinent information.
"Lawl, other websites bribed, Lawl"
For the next two pages.
More slop about graphics. Boring.
This is nerd rage.
IGN don't even know how to use their scale. Any game with hype is scored on a 7-10 scale, hence everyone saying a game with a 7 is a flop. The website is ludicrous and misleading.
Huge lulz to whoever says this is a bad score. Get a grip. Or should I say, IGN stop overrating games and use your scale to help your readers rather than confuse the hell out of them.
inFamous will have legs, but not an explosive debut.
It might simply be because the embargo is tomorrow and everyone was too busy with E3 to break it.
Considering the resemblance between game and movie began and ended at the name, the quality of III has no bearing on anything EA would have developed.
But yeah, III is a turd.
Me and my wife Charizard agree.
Only game that ever did that well is Kotor. In Infamous, once you pick a path why the hell would you break it? Every subsequent "choice" then isn't a choice at all.
Tasering people's faces is where this game's at.
