I believe when they refer to 8 player Co op they mean online over the PSN. The PS3 can only support up to 7 controllers plus add in the fact having 8 players playing on one tv would be like playing the game on a mini tv.
can someone please tell me how you compare a 3rd person shooter to FPS?

UMD failed? I still think Sony using UMD for it's PSP games. With over 28 million PSP owners and let's say an average 2 UMD games per player that's around 56 million UMD sold sh*t that's 25X more than what HD DVD ever sold.
You do know Sony also own right to the cell? They just gave up on production of the cell because it's cheaper from them to buy them than paying people to produce them since the only thing in the world using the cell is the PS3.
