"considering they're notorious for cutting corners."
That sounds a lot more like Ubisoft, honestly. I think their games speak volumes in that regard, compared to their pre released images and trailers that never look like the final production of their games.
That's exactly what happened, and they admitted it, and said sorry they missed it before releasing the trailer. But as usual people make a big deal out of nothing, before actually thinking.
All while Ubisoft, year after year, advertises their games with bull shots that rarely represent the final product. Which in my opinion, is way worse than if Naughty Dog did intentionally use this artwork, at least Naughty Dog's games end up how they are advertised.
Until Dawn is such an amazing horror game, I hope you enjoy it.
It depends, if you own both a PS4 and Xbox One, and you typically buy more games for these systems. I'd say they are beneficial in that regard, not so much for graphical differences, but more for performance differences.
You probably didn't bother watching the video, but the performance between these versions is very noticeable. So if I were to make a choice of which console I want to play it on, this video would help a great deal, making it very obvious you should ge...
Not really, for me, I've just been waiting for games like this to make a comeback.
I really loved games like Turok or Primal Rage. Although they weren't necessarily the same type of games, but they had similar aspects.
You must not be very honest then...
It was very choppy a lot of the time on Xbox One, too. And yea, I noticed that weird blurring effect as well compared to the PS4 version, the frame just appears a lot smoother on the PS4 version.
Graphically they aren't too different, but the performance between the two, there seems to be a big difference to me.
Wow, normally I don't care too much because the differences are usually minimal, but the performance on the Xbox One looks way worse than it is on the PS4. I'm surprised literally no one here has pointed that out.
The amount of screen tearing at the beginning was ridiculous, and the parts where they show off the shadowing after the beginning, holy cow, the Xbox One keeps locking up like every few seconds especially at the 1:55 mark, just look at the bushes movements a...
Well said. Exactly how I feel, gaming in the 90's was something to behold. Even today many of my fondest memories are from games of that era, and it could not be more true how different publishers and developers were then.
Nowadays money comes first, before the game. And I think that is what has damaged this industry so much. Of course money is important in this industry, but at that time people cared more about the product first and foremost, before they ever cared about...
It already is a three way race for consoles this gen, and Nintendo lost with the Wii U. The NX cannot change this, NX is ninth gen system, anyway.
I'd be more interested to see how well it will fare once Sony and Microsoft announce new consoles.
I also have a big feeling, if Nintendo stupidly releases the NX so early on again, just like the Wii U. It will be bound to fail. It may get a decent start like the Wii U, but it will only be a matter of time bef...
"$199 nintendo console that streams thur some thing else... like your pc that you already have... powerful, yes it would be awesome and it solves the internet problem if you have a power outlet to play your console. You simply have a local cloud setup. Heck technically you could use the ps4 to power the graphics of the NX handheld if they wrote an app for it LOL.."
How absurd. First of all, what would the $199 price point even matter then when you're suggesting ...
Were reviews ever there to necessarily be trust worthy? I just thought they were another persons perspective on a said game, and nothing more.
I've never read into reviews that much, even before all this nonsense. At the end of the day, I'm the deciding factor in whether I play a game or not.
Anytime I see this, my first thought is always "how much stock was there to begin with?"
It's a common tactic in business to create the idea of a driven demand by limiting stock. I'm not saying this was the case at all, it would just be interesting to see how many they actually sold.
@mudakoshaka You're better off trying to contact Shuhei Yoshida, he actuallys does respond to tweets every now and then.
His account is real. https://twitter.com/yosp
He has said he usually checks them in the morning, so you might have to try and coordinate sending him a message in morning, of course you will have to go by Japans time if you want the best chance.
Not sure if that was meant as a joke, but it says in capital letters "PARODY ACCOUNT"
@-Foxtrot
I guess you could call them fools, but I think it has more to do with the fact the average gamer does not care about what is going on behind the scenes.
Everyone here on this site is most likely what you would call a dedicated gamer or the hardcore audience, people who actually care to know more about the games they buy. We are the minority.
And if history has shown us anything, games can sell by brand alone. At times it doesn't...

There he is, not that it makes things better. Just pointing out he was at the party.
I know that, that's why I pointed it out. I never said they had to take that away from the game, but the skating could still be more challenging and more realistic looking at least.
Especially in 2015, the animations shouldn't look like they came straight out of 1999.
Please don't let this become the trend on N4G. It isn't that this doesn't deserve all the credit it can get, but christ, did I get sick of all those Skyrim articles on here.
You're right it isn't okay, but Naughty Dog admitted it was placeholder artwork that they missed before releasing the trailer, and they've said they're sorry to anyone who has been offended, including their own fans.
I don't know what else you people want, and I'll say it again, coming from Ubisoft, the king of bull shots... I actually find this very amusing how quickly people forget about that.
That want to act like the victim now, wh...
