Dont be pissed because its our opinion, im sure the gameplay will stay intact like it has always been, but cel shaded graphics arent my thing and probably never will, so deal with it.
I agree, there was nothing wrong with the old build and of course it was still in early stages, a few graphical upgrades wouldnt have hurt, but to change the art style to cell shaded, this game fell off my list for now, it would have been a must buy for me but i have other games i'd rather look forward to.
Ya i just got the Bestbuy paper and i was shock to see them advertise front page, turn to page 10 to see the 299 price cut of the 360, no mention of PS3 price cut or even the slim picture, and to IdleLeeSiuLung, they could have advertised PS3 price cut and slim if they wanted to, it had nothing to do with leaking to the public seeing as how they were so quickly to show the xbox360 price cut when it wasnt announced that long ago, but i guess sony has labor day week to look forward to.
if it is 3rd party it might as well be FVII since its highly unlikely to go multiplatform, and he did say it was a massive upgrade over the last installment and that it is a game majority of PS3 owners will like and its a reason to own a PS3.
I knew that the 299 comfortable price point would allow sony to finally push the PS3 ads even more, and hopefully the consumers will receive the ads with open arms.

its never to late for anything, to me the big factor will be Japan, sony is at around 23.7mill right? and MS is about 28-30? with this price cut and games like FF13 and even FF14 I think these games and other big titles down the line will allow sony to gain ground on MS, MS may have US right now but US doesnt account for the rest of the world, and just cause you have the lead in the US doesnt mean you have won already. So at this time its to close to call who will win this console race, even ...
Wow i dont know if anyone else noticed but Bestbuy still has that deal with Little big planet and a Movie for 299.99 now, thats a great steal. Also i wished sony would keep the fat model around just for the simple fact that what the slim sales cant make hopefully the fat PS3 could take up, just in case that certain someone doesnt like the new design they could always go for the glossy beast model :)

I think since 299 is more of a comfortable price point, i believe sony will now advertise with more confidence, i mean a 299 120GB Video Game/ Blu ray/ firmware upgradable market player? who can beat that.

I dont really want to believe this 100% especially when they state he shrugs his shoulders, that to me doesnt sound right, and the fact that on FAQ it says
"Will there be console ports? Or a Linux or Mac client?

This takes me back to when the talk about the PS3 controller with rumble was coming, and in a video tour of developer haze, their office had blurred out PS3 controllers which turn out to be the dualshock controllers, i dont see why they would blur out a devkit in the first place its pretty much a modded PS3 nothing to shy away from the public for.

im throwing this wild prediction out there, if both PSP and PS3 GT games are released this year, I would see a cool bundle for both system, PSP go = new redesigned system and has a new GT game coming out around the same time its release, so why not have its big brother do the same, new redesigned PS3= slim with the new release of GT5.
PSP go bundle= 279.99
PSP go no bundle= 249.99
PS3 slim bundle= 349.99
PS3 slim no bundle= 299.99
that would be kind...
my guess is a multi plat game since it will cover more systems, so it really comes down to MW2 unless Halo ODST can really pull in sales, but seeing as how its not like the other Halos it might be kinda tough.
