Interesting that no xbox console has ever beat a playstation console. On generation 7 the PS3 is outselling the Xbox 360 and on this current gen the PS4 is destroying the x1.

After Microsoft saw that Titanfall failed to scratch the PS4 they decided to sacrifice kinect and with it all years of work and their vision but they had no choice as the PS4 is forcing them to do it.

If that was true then explain to me how on earth the PS4 is outselling the x1 almost on a 4 millions gap and how the PS4 is outselling the x1 in every territory where the 2 are available?

Did Titanfall affected the consoles war as they make everyone believed it would?
Is this price drop another forced hype to try to give a boost to the x1?
After witnessed how Titanfall failed to scratch the PS4 I doubt this price drop will give any advantage to the x1
Wrong. The Playstation brand is not the one making Sony to loose money. Sony officially stated that the Playstation brand is doing very good.

Every company is here to win. No company make a strategy just to barely exist compared to the competition. While Sony's others divisions are loosing money, the Playstation division is doing very good.
Sony is not the only company in the world whit a situation like this. Square Enix was about to go bankrupt and recently they announced they has returned to profit.

Pulling the Kinect out of the Xbox One is a necessary move, undoubtedly, but it has all the grace of a rabid monkey disarming a bomb. At this point, Microsoft is left with Frankenstein of a console, pieced together from the putrid remains of an old Xbox 360 carcass and the shining vision-on-a-hill of what the Xbox One was intended to be.

The didn't lose confident. They are just loosing very bad against Sony and they need to keep sacrificing their vision in order to try and compete. They are being forced to do this because of the PS4 big success.

Don't fool yourself many people asked for this even before the console was launched and Microsoft didn't care or listened to their customers. Now, that their sales are very poor compared to the PS4, then they are FORCED to make a drastic move against their own vision in order to try and stay competitive.
First it was Titanfall, some people were completely sure it was going to change the xbone position and close the gap. Titanfall failed.
Now, in the never ending search for the magical golden goose for the x1, they believe that droping kinect and matching the ps4 price will do what Titanfall failed to do.
Once the months pass and we see that this didn't make any difference, what will the next magical golden goose be?
Playsation has proven to has the best exclusives and library always. I'm glad they are leading this generation.
