yeah maybe you're right, maybe it deserves a nine or a ten(depending on the ratings standards: 10 doesn't equal not perfect but equals must buy) , but my only problems with it were that i played it for the first time in japanese and some obvious texture tearing every now and then, but it was a blast to play nonetheless

Linux is better than in many aspects but when it comes to proprietary software like Flash, windows will have the upper hand because there is money on the roll...

apparently, you don't know that I lean to be more on the ps3 side in the console war, but you gotta be real, a reliable xbox premium next year in the 200-250 euros price range is a great deal...
and about the failure rate, believe whatever you want but know that excessive use of the blu-ray laser damages it, that's why i don't usually use my ps3 to watch movies(just a couple of movies in a month)....
nope 0.01 is impossible, the PS3 has a 3 per cent(max, rumoured to be less than 1 per cent) failure due to various reasons...
now if they eliminate the rrod, the other problems will be the same just like any other console, so the xbox360 will become a good deal(also considering the price at that time if they drop it)
if it is reliable, i will buy it... sometime in 2009
