quite to the contrary of your thoughts, yes they can have the same quality(or 95 per cent close) of the original BD movies, let me explain, the original bd movie is published with mpeg-1 format, but the rips uses another format that uses less space but offer similar quality that's the mpeg-4 format otherwise known as divx, to make my point more clear, compare the quality of divx rip(approx 700 mb) to the original dvd movie(approx 4.2 gb), then judge for yourself...

you should try avira or avg, or the new pc tools threatfire, it's fantastic, i use it along spyware doctor(licenced) they make a fantastic combo... personally i'd rather stay away from microsoft security products because they're unreliable in this field

i am not sure where you're getting your info from, but in Europe Sony did catch up or is on the verge of catching up to the xbox with all the delays, higher price and non-EE launch consoles, so Sony is a winner in Europe, and Japan wants reliable consoles, so you can slash the x360 from there...

yeah you are both right, i acknowledge that the original dvd movie is better that its divx rip counterpart but i am saying that a good ripper can come close to the original quality(90-95 per cent), divx clearly is clearly a winner over mpeg-1 in a format point of view, and imo if it weren't for the heftly licencing fees, mpeg-4 would have been the most ideal format for blu-ray players/movies...
