my favorite part of the game was the final boss fight which was literally a QTE rehash of the only other 'boss fight' in the game. The game has cool steampunk weapons, but you can't freely use them and instead you get to use the fucking pistol and machine gun.
the story sucks and is plain. i didn't give a shit about any of the knights.
A short narrative based game is fine, but the game did nothing with it's 5-6 hours and has a shit narrati...
If the game releases on time with bugs: "HOLY SHIT THIS GAME SUCKS, WHY DIDN'T THEY DELAY IT!"
If the game releases late with less bugs (but probably still a few small bugs): "HOLY SHIT THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST RELEASED IT SOONER AND PATCHED IT!".
i never understood why people were hyping up another TPS "action adventure" game.

I played the beta. It's a graphically enhanced version of Left 4 Dead that takes steps backwards.
There are only two characters with active tracking (Bucket and Maggie), so if the monster is half decent and your team lacks active tracking...the monster gets a big lead on the hide and seek portion. And then the hide and seek portion gets boring pretty fast.
It's kind of an average game IMO, marred by it's pricing method.

Don't let the zealots of the game fool you. Yes, the new monsters and hunters do change the game in ways...but switching from the Goliath to Wraith is not "like a brand new game". It's like picking a new fighter in a fighting game, only you don't pay $15 for a new character in the fighting game...

I think most games by nature are repetitive. You can't always be doing something different in a game. But in Evolve as the hunter you spend a lot of time just finding the monster....as the monster, you spend a lot of time running from the monster.

I really miss the tiberium wars series :/ Fuck EA for ruining it with C&C4. I'd like them to return to the roots of the series. I liked this setting a lot more than Red Alert.

My hype died with the overpriced DLC. None of the DLC is out day one, and I'm fine with paying for it. But a much more reasonable price would be something like a $20 season pass for the 4th tier hunters, 2 bonus hunters, and 4th/5th monster. Ideally I'd like them for free, but $20 is justifable IMO.
How is it there's not a story synopsis on wikipedia yet? It'll take like 20 minutes to write.
