You're point is somewhat true. But 75% off is generally the highest discount you see for games like this. Anything beyond 75% is generally for small indie titles. I would be surprised if VC ever dropped below this price.
But you are right, if you don't plan to play it right away then it's a waste.

DMC4 sucked. Dante's missions were just straight rehashes of Nero's.
If this was a F2P game or at least had a significantly lower price point it would be greatly embraced. I think the concept is there, but the pricing is outrageous.

Honestly, I would prefer they delay it then to release it with anything severe or game breaking. I'm sure there will still be SOME bugs, but I prefer the attitude of "it's ready when it's ready" rather than shipping it out quickly.
Now obviously the ideal situation would be shipping out a game on time, without delays, and without bugs. But that's not necessarily realistic.

Saying it's not important is just a console justification. It might not be the most important thing, but self justifying it with "I keep all my old consoles" is foolish. The technology is there and easily accessible. It should be integrated.
Putting aside the DLC, it's just not a great game. In the beta I came across a few good matches...but most of them were dead boring. The game will go the way of Titanfall much quicker.
Remember back when Cliffy B said PC gaming was dead and piracy was responsible for his games' failures? I'll need a lot more than some teaser trailer to be marginally impressed.
