Lol if you think those "nissan race cars" are just cars with "with diff paint jobs" you clearly aren't an enthusiast in motorsporting.
Sure there lots of Skylines, but the similarities end there. But well done on making the connection.
Head mounted displays are pretty interesting because they can give you the sensation of looking at a 100" screen.
Pleasing Tomonobu Itagaki is an accomplishment in itself.
I'm not asking whether you should be bother or not. If it's an incorrect way of doing something then there is no point of doing it in the first place.
Simple average is the incorrect way to do this. What you want is a geometric mean.

Because as you said there are DLC reviews and small title reviews, which should not be compared to bigger titles like Gears or Killzone. So we have a geometric mean to weight the bigger titles.
Now playing: no escape from DRM.
WTF he "rebates" himself $40 because of free shipping and a game.
He should get an accountant ASAP.
Kotaku didn't write the article, Gizmodo did. But they are owned by the same company
This is their job, they make this stuff for $2 and sell it on the net for $100.
If it can play Youtube vids, it passes.
Firstly I didn't buy a PS2 last generation ;)
But to address what you said, that is quite contradictory when the PS3 received exclusive 3rd party games like Heavy Rain only because the PS3 had blu-ray as a differentiating feature.

Throwing money at devs...
If the PS3 was without those said features, why would I buy one when it is exactly the same as the Xbox.
Why is PSN pass such shocking news?
Sony was already testing the waters with Socom: FtB3 last year.
Should've bitched about it then, rather than now.
"there are no plans..." means absolutely nothing, it could imply they have considered releasing the games or it could mean they have given it absolutely no thought. PR are just trained to say things like that so people don't get their hopes up over nothing.
The same thing happened with the Yakuza games from SEGA. They kept on saying they "had no plans" or they are "not financially viable" and here we are sitting on two games from the series. ...
"commercial realities dictate otherwise..."
Ironically it was the commercial success of the originals that built the franchises.
The article you linked to is over 3 months old.
Sales numbers change very quickly.
Should've mentioned Siren: Bloodcurse.
It' the only horror game that actually scared me. See with other horror games they rely heavily on scripting and spawning frights, so it can get predictable when things are going happen.
Unlike Siren, the enemies are already in the map and wander around trying to find you. So when they spot you is never predictable and there is no escape until you find a hiding spot or weapon.
Brilliant, we need ...
Rumour has it that we will get to use PSN for free for many years to come.
So what exactly is the point of Kinect in Ghost Recon, just the Gunsmith mode where you take apart guns with no controller?
Not exactly omg that totally counts as included motion controller compatiblity, will buy ASAP.
Of course Forza 4 will be vastly better, it's a later game that is Turn 10's 3rd iteration in the series within the same generation.
No denial there.
