@Futureofgaming I thought the same until I recently picked up BFBC2 off Steam. Console version of the game looks horrible which is what I actually originally had but PC version looks very very nice. Not only does it look better but the effects are also way better than on console. Was pretty amazed at the difference tbh. I know which version of BF3 I'm getting...the PC one.
Yeah it's not bad but don't really like the motion blur.

@BLACKBOIJONES below. KZ3 doesn't come close Crysis 2 PC. Maybe in youtube videos people think they look close but in reality that is not the case. I have KZ3 and love the multiplayer, more so than Crysis 2 so far but Crysis 2 has it beat easily in terms of graphics. I know KZ3 rapes all on consoles though. What about "Press start to begin" ?? I'm hoping full game has more graphics options. Also, my laptop screen is 1920x1080 and I can run this game 1280x720 because in 1080 is runs somewhat choppy and it looks fine in windowed mode but fullscreen not so good...really annoying because I play some other games at 720 and they look fine..not sure what's going on here.
Well I spent $1200 on my laptop last year and it runs every game out there perfectly fine. Thing is you cannot really compare PC to console because PC is much more than a dedicated gaming device. Mind you you can now get a desktop that performs better for probably half of what I paid now. I cannot run every game on absolute max settings but good enough for the most part. I can run Crysis 2 demo 1280x720 on hardcore and it runs perfect. Funny enough COD Black Ops even on medium settings on PC ...
Or just upgrade your PC :)
Xbox problem sounds like. PC runs perfect. PC has dedicated servers too.

I can run in hardcore mode but only 720p..1080p gets a bit stuttery. Will wait till full version with hopefully more options. BTW, best looking game everrrr

I wasn't sure about the game either but after playing for a bit it's pretty fun and PC has dedicated servers and it looks absolutely awesome!
I've just played a couple matches. Overall very nice. Looks beautiful..best looking game I've seen yet. Couple things bother me like there is no toggle to zoom...e.g you have to hold right mouse down to zoom and press left to fire at the same time. I run the game at 1280x720 and it plays perfectly smooth but in full screen things seem a bit blurry but window mode looks great.
My card only supports dx10.1 but oh well. Still getting.

And this is the reason why PC gaming will never die. Cannot achieve such things on dated hardware. Don't get me wrong I'm taking away anything from console games because I love them but just saying cutting edge graphics, effects and such can never be attained simply due to ever changing hardware in PC's. You'd have to wait another generation of consoles to get to the same level.
