If MS did not announce the Scorpio, people would have been upset for buying an Xbox One S.
MS is giving gamers choices. You can either A) Buy an Xbox One S if you feel that you don't need a Scorpio B) Hold on to your fat Xbox One until the Scorpio launches... or C) Wait until the Scorpio release (for those who don't own an Xbox One yet)
