What is even the point of this comment? PS4 has an attach rate of 9 games per console, that's HUGE.
And the fact is not everyone is going to buy the same games and that is a big part of why PS4 has such broad appeal and sells so well. There are games for everyone and games that appeal to people all over the world who have different tastes.
Speaking for myself I rarely buy the big multiplatform games, I own zero sports games zero CoD zero Battlefiel...
But it is about gaming, I can't wait to play Spider-Man, Ghosts of Tsushima, Dragon Quest XI, Detroit Become Human, Little Witch Academia, Last of Us 2, Ni No Kuni 2, Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2. Those are the games that are top on my list and there will certainly be more that I will buy.

Well... hear is what I would say. and what I have said for a while. If the X really did well and was taking sales from the PS4 they would rush out PS5 to compete. That doesn't seem to be an issue, PS4 sales are only increasing as time goes on. 2017 is set to be PS4's best selling year. Wow absolute market domination. Assuming PS4 sold 1.5 million in every month prior to November that would mean that in November they sold an insane 4+ million consoles. Good luck topping 4 million consoles X.
PS4 is going to have it's best year 4 years in, and I would say thanks to it's commitment to exclusive games. Despite what some people say people who buy "GAMING" consoles want games.
I would argue that it didn't change a genre it became a genre.
Websters should really look into putting "souls like" into the dictionary for as often as it's used to describe other games.

Vgchartz only tracks console retail sales PC and console digital aren't tracked by vgchartz. The number your claiming they tracked were based primarily PC and also digital console sales. Well I guess your fine with gaming being ruined in order to maintain some sort of principal, I am not. And I neither agree with your view nor am I asking for protection from myself. I am asking for protection of gaming from the greed of EA and all the other companies. And again I would prefer if EA ect. would do whats right and just stop on their own.
Opnionated... loot boxes don't just effect people who buy them. These companies put in artificial grind to make you need them (example: 2k17)... that effects you even if you don't by them. Look at Battlefront 2 pay 2 win scheme that made players who bought the MT's more than 50% more powerful than players that didn't. And this is just two examples of many.
The MT scheme effects everyone even if you don't spend a penny.

I'd just like to point out that Turn 10 said they were planned for the game. And that nearly every game Microsoft has released this gen has included MT's. That may change but for now the plan is to have an MT based economy for Forza 7 regardless of whether it's implemented at the moment.

Lets be honest here digital sales account for about 30-35% of retail numbers and GT Sport also has digital sales. This is a comparison of retail it's safe to say that there is zero chance that Forza sold 500% more in digital sales than it's retail sales which is what it would need to do to outsell GT Sport even if GT Sport...
So with double the user base it sold five times as many units?
Why make that argument, doesn't that make Forza's sales seem even worse?
Better is subjective. Sales are a fact.
Some people would argue that the more realistic physics simulation of not only the cars but the tracks and the emphasis on proper driving technique plus free content updates versus a MT based system makes GT Sport the better game.
That's why all the big companies chose to use this holiday for their MT push instead of the middle of the year. They wanted to get these games into kids hands bought by unaware parents.
Well... in actuality I believe they have all agreed to push it.
They think that if everyone is doing it people have no choice but to buy games that include MT's
