The hardware does a lot for the price. I am extremely content with the $249 price tag. There are cell phones that cost WAY more than that and don't game like the Vita does with much less input options. Before you know it next gen consoles will be out, probably launching around $400 and by that point the Vita will be about $200. It makes perfect sense.
I liked the facial animations in L.A. Noire but the fact that the faces and body motion captures were recorded separately is a deal breaker for me. They just don't flow as if it was real. I love how Uncharted do the voice and motion capture in the same take. It makes it seem so much more real.
Oh here it comes.. "It has a SONY logo on it, must be awful." No one was complaining when the console launch price was revealed to be $249. I am trying to find negatives about the Vita and it isn't easy. The memory card not being internal and them charging extra for it is one negative that you chose to shout from the roof tops as if it is doomed to fail on arrival.
I hear a lot of whining but in reality, the console itself is priced extremely well so this isn't a big deal in my book. Like you mentioned, Apple does this too and no one seems to care.

Uncharted for me too. I just bought Zelda Skyward Sword tho to see what all thy hype was about. So far it is pretty cool. I hear it is about 40 hours of game play though. I am only like 3 hours in.
I am not being super defensive. I am just explaining why some one who already owns a PS3 might want another or have a reason to comment on an article like this. Way to be a tool tho.
What is weird about that? I have two PS3s. My fiancé wanted one of her own for media perpose alone. Bluray, Netflix, the ability to play downloaded movies and tv shows off of a USB HDD, DVDs and so on. She had a wii for Netflix but it only plays 480p and it does none of the other stuff I mentioned. This bundle is worth $199 in media alone not to mention the gaming doors it opens with multiplats and PS exclusives.

I couldn't agree more. Killzone 4 and Uncharted 4 would be AMAZING launch titles for PS4. I would be weak at the knees as I dump my wallet on the counter to pick them all up day one!
Not every one wants a 3Ds tho. To be honest, I would love it if Nintendo went the way of Sega and stopped making hardware and just made software for other companies. I will catch hell for saying that but I haven't "loved" any Nintendo hardware since NES, SNES and N64. Game Cube, Wii and the DS family don't appeal to me at all. I have owned them all but have not been satisfied with them.

silvacrest, well you can play COD without turning on your brain. That is a plus for many of those 12 million people. Especially since after years and years of playing the same game, it is muscle memory by now allowing you to become a mindless zombie while you play.

The improvement is huge but I wouldn't go as far as saying it looks good. Halo was never really about the graphics and this one's no different. Just compare any first party PS3 exclusive graphically against any Halo game and you will see what I mean.

I got mine at launch and spent over $100.. It was worth it but seeing them sell for $25 stings a bit..
I mean the action figure and helmet statue alone are worth more than $25 and the game alone is worth more than $25. This is one hell of a deal and a graphical powerhouse that shouldn't be passed up.
