It's because with all the resources we have nowadays, with the internet and betas and such, we know almost everything about a game before the game is even released.
You can generally tell if a game is quality before it comes out, especially now. This is not COMPLETELY true however, as sometimes you can be fooled. But it doesn't happen much anymore.
Maybe now gametrailers can use a 360 controller on the PS3 and they won't whine about how bad the PS3 controller is. hehe
Personally, give me a Playstation controller anyday.
I didn't say I would be too busy to care. I said WE. Meaning the devs made the game for the people who are going to buy it and enjoy it. Yes, the more sales they get, the better. But they are trying to make a quality product, an ENTERTAINMENT product, and WE (the people playing the game) will be perfectly happy no matter how well the game sells.
Flop? First of all, thats stupid. Second of all, who cares how well the game sells, we'll be too busy poppin' heads with the sniper to care.
SOCOM was great when it came out and it had its place for awhile but it has been surpassed in every way by Call of Duty. Stop living in the past my friend.

I'm getting so tired of hearing about "AAA" games. What the hell does that even mean, really? That a ton of people bought it? That it has an average over 90 on metacritic? This is seriously what you're basing this on? My goodness grow your own brain and learn to use it, just because a game is in the 80's or 70's doesn't mean YOU won't like it a lot more than a game in the 90's.

So true hfaze, I use wifi with my PS3 and a lower end linksys router and I never have issues with lag. I've also found my download times from the PS store to be very quick and steady so no problems there either.
Thats because the typical american shopper would prefer a swift kick to the groin over an amazing console AS LONG AS ITS CHEAPER!!

Remember the PS1 era? There were no bad games from SquareSOFT. Vagrant Story, Parasite Eve, FF VII, FF VIII, FF IX. All classics. Now look what they are giving us. Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant.
Lets face it, Square Enix just wants your money, and ever since they changed from Squaresoft to Square Enix its been downhill ever since.
