No people do not need to play those games. They only need to play these if they want to play them. Only like 3 or 4 of those games are of any interest to me and I will probably play those games at some point.

Not everyone cares about having an overpowered console, all that really matters in the end for consoles is if it has fun games. I'll give you that Nintendo needs to do more work on the online infrastructure if they want to have a presence with multiplayer games.

Playing a video game in general is suppose to be relaxing. Unless it is a multiplayer game, than probably not so much.
Yeah, having the older systems is usually the best thing. One reason why I don't trade them in and stuff is so that I can play my old games and not worry if the new consoles will have it or not. I've had the urge of late to replay all of the Suikoden's and I just might if I ever get unlazy to get doing it.
