Taking into account the disappointing story, the lack of mission diversity, mind numbing unrewarding grinding, cumbersome chat options, people exploiting the game by farming enemy spawns for legendary engrams it took an honest player hours to get, a dissapointing PvP compared to Halo 3 PvP, the inevitable butt rape of "expansions" that were cut from the final game, the lousy voice acting from Peter, a 6.4 sounds about right.
Oh god I know how shit the story was but the way Angry Joe highlights it is absolutely cringing " I COULD tell you, blah blah blah I COULD tell you blah blah blah" This game will not last 3 months tops especially with the broken gringing exploit in the cave where everybody is farming engrams now. Really the people who bought it at launch and were disappointed should have anticipated a crappy story and lack of mission diversity? The one redeeming quality i bought this game for was the amazing story and lore that i thought it was going to have coming from the developers of Halo yet i beat all the missions and still have no clue what the heck this games about.
Halo 4's story wipes the floor compared to Destiny which was the ABSOLUTE LAST thing i was expecting especially from Bungie. The drop in quality they went as far as story telling is astronomical they really dropped the ball with this one. Bungie needs to pay a visit to Naughty Dog seriously.
If there is a general trend amongst review scores which in the case of Destiny is a 6-7.5 then there is no denying that there were fundamental flaws with the game but instead of people critcizing the game so Bungie knows what they need to improve on the next installment they would rather come up with conspiracys like all the reviewers banded together in an elaborate scheme or that they weren't paid by the publisher and would rather believe that than their most hyped game being a disappoin...
Exotic bountys are extremely rare and you get them by turning in bountys and it pops up on random. I have this bounty and I'm stuck on the last part where you have to do a very hard mission on the moon.
I agree the core gameplay is fun but the missions are extremely repetitive, each mission is literally starting you from the beginning and letting you go a bit further from where you left off in the previous mission which is a lousy development choice and after beating all these repetitive missions I still have no clue or could care less whats the story about which was a huge let down considering it's Bungie. Joseph Staten the writer for Bungie left to go work for Microsoft game studios in the middle of development which is why the story is absolutely horrible. I'm on Venus and I don't know what the fuck this games about and the missions are extremely repetitive, literally each mission is just a repitition of the previous one but going a little further each time it's frustrating. I regret believing the hype because this is nothing what my initial thought of what it was going to be.
Wow people are finially not letting hype blind them. I SAID this ages ago when i played the beta that the missions were extremely short and small maps and i got disagreed to the max by the Destiny defense squad. I didn't let the hype get to me and i called exactly how i saw it and sure enough i was spot on. I dont blame them though we all wish Destiny was what it wasn't.
The best version is the version that you have the most friends to play with. That exclusive content is kinda worthless if you got nobody to play it with.
