Yes, all three have gimicks at the moment, MS with Kinect, Sony and PS Eye and Virtual Reality (world of NO) and Nintendo with the controller.
There is nothing new about gimicks, it depends on whether said gimicks blow your skirt is or not.
So far Kinect is great, Sony's PS Eye is rubbish (45 mins at Xmas then it's been unplugged since) and then there is Nintendo's Controller, it's ok, it's not horrendous but needs some work.
